    Daniel Mallo
    Managing Director – Head of Natural Resources & Infrastructure,

    Daniel is responsible for Société Générale’s Natural Resources & Infrastructure practice in Asia Pacific. The team’s activities include conventional and renewable power, oil & gas, LNG, base and precious metals, transportation and social infrastructure. He is based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director in Société Générale’s New York-based Energy Project Finance Group, where he was responsible for originating and executing transactions in the conventional power, renewable energy, LNG and oil & gas sectors in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Daniel has over 18 years of experience in structured finance and has focused on the Energy and Natural Resources sectors for the past 15 years.

    Daniel has been involved in several important transactions in the renewable energy sector across the region, including the 126 MW Formosa 1, the 500 MW Yunlin and the 340 MW Formosa 2 offshore wind farms in Taiwan – the three first offshore wind farms to be project-financed in Asia Pacific -, several projects in Indonesia such as the 1760 MW Java 1 LNG-to-power project, the 180 MW Asahan 1 hydro power project, the 39 MW Hasang hydro power project and the 320 MW Sarulla geothermal project, 20 wind and solar power projects in Australia over the past 4 years, several hydro power projects in China, Chile and Peru, a 300 MW wind farm in Mexico and approximately 5000 MW of wind and solar capacity in the United States and Canada.

    Daniel graduated from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris.

    Michael joined DWS in 2015 with responsibility for the division’s ESG thematic research. His work examines the macro drivers of ESG across all asset classes, regions and client segments. Prior to his current role, Michael was Global Head of Commodities Research in the Corporate Banking & Securities division of Deutsche Bank. In 2013, the Commodities Research team was ranked #2 in the EMEA Institutional Investor Equity and Fixed Income Research team survey. Before this, Michael was the Deputy Head of FX Research at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. In 2000, the FX Research team was ranked #1 in the Euromoney FX Research survey. Michael began his career as a Research analyst covering Global Macro & Rates research at Morgan Grenfell. Michael holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Bristol and a M.Sc. in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.
